Glasgow
Glasgow is Scotland's largest city, situated on the banks of the River Clyde and the gateway to the Trossachs.
Glasgow is one of the most vibrant and cosmopolitan cities in all of Europe. The city has been reborn as a centre of style and vigor set among exceptional Victorian architecture. Glasgow is home to many world famous art collections, and undoubtedly the best shopping in the United Kingdom outside London. Glasgow has earned a reputation of having some of the best nightlife in Scotland, thanks to it’s abundance of restaurants, pubs, clubs and cafes. Influences of Charles Rennie Mackintosh, Scotlands most famous architect is apparent in many of the cities attractions.
Art and culture are an important part of Glasgow life where galleries and museums abound. Among these include the world’s first Museum of Religion and the Burrell Collection. No visit would be complete without participating in some serious retail therapy. Glasgow’s compact city centre and grid system makes shopping easy, with welcoming cafes and restaurants along the way to help you rejuvenate.

Edinburgh
Edinburgh is the enchanting capital of Scotland, and an exciting place to visit at any time of year. Edinburgh is a city of contrasts, from the medieval Old Town whose backbone is the Royal Mile to the 18th Century Georgian New Town with it’s wide, tree lined streets and elegant squares. Edinburgh Castle dominates the city from its 400 foot rock and houses the Scottish Crown Jewels and the Stone of Destiny. After 300 years, Edinburgh is proudly once again home to Scottish Parliament, as well as many historic buildings, galleries and museums. After discovering the historic aspects of the city, indulge yourself in some serious shopping, as Edinburgh has a vast choice of excellent shops. Restaurants, bistros, wine bars, pubs and cafes, are plentiful in this great city, with something to satisfy all tastes.
The Scots take great pride in their gardens, and this is apparent throughout the city. Edinburgh is home to the world famous Royal Botanical Gardens as well as many parks and gardens that you can take a leisurely stroll through.
