Itinerary

Day 1 - Saturday
London
Welcome to Britain's vibrant capital - London. On arrival take your high speed rail transfer to the City Centre, from there a short cab ride to your hotel, where the rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 2 - Sunday
London
Today is a free day to explore the vibrant and historic City of London. Why not visit some of the world's best Museums, follow in the footsteps of royalty, shop in Soho and end the day in a chic restaurant or a cozy traditional English pub.

Day 3 - Friday
Chester
Today we will travel out of London and drive to the Roman city of Chester our home for the night. On the way we will enjoy a visit to William Shakespeare's home town, Stratford-upon-Avon. Onwards then to the medieval Warwick Castle, one of the finest castles in England.

Day 4 - Saturday
Liverpool & Lake District
Our first visit of the day is to Liverpool, home of The Beatles. Enjoy some free time in this bustling city to walk along the Albert Docks, enjoy lunch in one of the many bistros. Onwards to the Lake District National Park where we will visit Levens Hall, an Elizabethan mansion. After our visit we enjoy a cruise along the waters of the great Lake Windermere. From here we make our way to our lakeside hotel.

Day 5 - Sunday
Grasmere & Beatrix Potter
This morning we will travel to the delightful towns of Grasmere and Ambleside to visit Dove Cottage and Rydal Mount, former homes of William Wordsworth. We continue with our panoramic tours of the Lake District with visits to Hill Top and Yew Tree Farm - farmhouses formerly owned by Beatrix Potter. Here we will enjoy a tour of the grounds followed by afternoon tea in the Yew Tree Farm tea room, before returning to our lakeside hotel for the night.

Day 6 - Monday
Yorkshire
Today we drive through the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park before arriving in Settle, a busy market town. We then drive through the heart of the Yorkshire Dales to a local cheese farm. In the afternoon we continue through the National Park to Masham where we will visit a traditional Yorkshire brewery. Learn how the ales are made before sampling the drink yourself.

Day 7 - Tuesday
York & Cambridge
Today we travel to the medieval city of York, where we will enjoy a panoramic walking tour. See the Shambles and the city walls before visiting the York Castle Museum and the historic York Minster. Before arriving in London we will enjoy a final visit, with a stop in the University town of Cambridge where you will enjoy a chauffeured punt on the River Cam.

This morning after a hearty breakfast it's time to head back home.
